An engagement session is separate from a proposal: this is an opportunity for the couple to plan ahead on outfits, hair, makeup and spend more time getting shots that capture their relationship in a less-energetic setting than the proposal itself! By having an engagement session separate from your proposal, you allow the proposal to be totally in the moment, and the engagement session to be a fun and relaxed evening once the excitement settles.
