An Art Museum, the Waterworks & Fairmount Philadelphia Engagement Session

Winter weddings have so many benefits: it’s one of the most peaceful seasons, there is better availability for the most beautiful venues, no humidity to ruin the girls’ hair and makeup (!) and you might get lucky enough to have snow as your photo backdrop! One small challenge that comes with winter days is the early sunset time. This means that time for photos needs to be built into the day a bit more carefully than summer weddings when there is daylight until the reception dancing begins. When Francesca and Aaron told me that there wedding reception would be at the Waterworks in February, I knew we had to get those sweeping photos of them with the river and Waterworks against the Philadelphia skyline. However, by the time we arrive at the venue on the day of the wedding, the sun will be setting, so we got creative! What better way to make sure the venue is captured in all of its glory than to hold the engagement session there?!

There is nothing quite like the beautiful bright buildings, open water, and gorgeous foliage around the Art Museum and the Waterworks in Philadelphia, and Francesca, Aaron and I had a blast exploring during their engagement session. Enjoy!
